According to the Global Peace Index 2024, the number of countries at war is currently the highest since World War II. In 2020, the number of armed conflicts increased to 56 and in 2024 to 59. In 2023, Israel-Hamas and Ukraine-Russia, the Miami Civil War, and the Sudan Civil War were fought. In which more than 10 thousand people died. Experts fear that the situation will worsen in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Uganda, etc. in 2025. The US has already provoked many of these countries. In 2022, the US alone provided weapons worth $ 18.1 billion to Ukraine. In 2023, this increased to $ 80.9 billion. Worldwide arms sales were $238 billion, of which $81 billion was directly sold by the US government alone, a 56 percent increase over 2022. In 2023, the US gave $21.2 billion to Israel, which increased to $42.76 billion in 2024. Almost all continents are in a period of conflict and war and are involved in an arms race. The US is at the forefront of this race compared to all other rich countries. It is using every means for its arms trade and commercial interests. The US Trump government has waged a trade war with all the countries of the world. Deep involvement in Gaza and Ukraine with direct and indirect US intervention in 2025. After the extremely heinous “Progress” incident, the Pakistan-India war created instability in the South Asian region. Suddenly a ceasefire was declared. There is happiness in the hearts of the people of both sides, because they did not want war, but this war was being imposed on them. There was discomfort among the people. They have not slept for many nights. What is this matter? How did this matter end? How did the “servants” of both the countries silently accept the words of “Thanedar Trump”? What did these “protectors” of these countries gain by throwing the people into war?
Pakistan received an IMF international loan of 2.3 billion dollars under the guise of this war and our ruler was able to successfully implement the plan that had been laid to create an atmosphere for winning the “Bihar” elections. But one thing he could not do was to incite “Hindus” and “Muslims” to riot or, in other words, he could not succeed in his plan, which he had planned to create. Did our “ruler” really have the intention to teach a lesson to the “terrorists” and their supporters, the Pakistani rulers, or was his plan only to consolidate his throne? According to surveys, the “incumbents” were losing the elections in Bihar, which would not only have an impact on the Bihar elections, but the central government would also have fallen “suddenly” because of Nitish Kumar.
As for Trump, he has his own interests at heart. He has to sell his military equipment. The world’s largest merchant is famous for making countries fight each other and selling his weapons, making huge profits. The Trump administration is currently famous for bullying around the world. By which, keeping aside the interests of the world, not only talks are being said, but practical steps are also being taken to promote American nationalism. In a real sense, Trump also starts wars and stops wars to fulfill his interests and gain good. By playing the role of a mediator in the India-Pakistan war, he is trying to become the messiah of peace. But is this really so? If so, why is his role one-sided in the Russia-Ukraine war? If so, why is his role one-sided in the Israel-Hamas war?
At present, there is a big discussion about Trump’s role in the India-Pakistan war and the ceasefire. His aim is to increase his business and in Trump’s words, “both sides are his ‘beloved’.” He let the two wrestlers fight as long as he wanted or as far as his interest was considered to be achieved. So the Pakistani side, the rulers there are troubled by the army there and the terrorist organizations there, which do not let them rule peacefully. This is the reason why its “army” and “terrorists” are kept in the arms of India. But the worst effect of all this is on Punjab. Now that the people of both the western and eastern Punjab were coming closer and are still close, not far away, they had started talking about mutual trade across the border. These things do not please the ruler. Such a “scene” was created in a few days by the selfish ruling parties of both the sides, that war broke out, losses started happening. There was a commotion. The people’s peace was disturbed and the fear of great losses and the fear of death started to loom.
It is not difficult to estimate how much damage was done to the people by this war, how many trusts were broken, how many relationships were broken, how many Indians and Pakistanis were disturbed. How much mental anguish they have endured, who are tied up in marriages here and there.
Finally, when this politics, this face of the rulers, which starts from American Trump, Russian Putin and reaches our ruler, is exposed, then the “democracy”, “peace talk”, “people-friendly” plans and hypocrisy in the minds of the people are exposed.
Truly, if the rulers of India and Pakistan had considered that the incident that took place in “Pahalgam” was judged and the culprits were punished, and that too through mutual dialogue and mutual trust, then the situation that has arisen between the two countries by blocking the water of the Indus River, expelling each other’s diplomats from their respective countries, and causing mutual bitterness would not have happened, and the world’s biggest businessman “Trump” would not have had the opportunity to trample the “sovereignty” of the two countries under his feet. Did India reject the Indus River Treaty and Pakistan
The Shimla Agreement and the Kashmir issue, which India has not accepted in the past as a mediator between the two countries, will now be resolved only through US mediation.
Without a doubt, the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is a welcome and positive and necessary step. But the alleged involvement of the US in resolving the ceasefire is worrying. Doesn’t this pave the way for its general hegemony and instability in South Asia to play a role? It would have been better if the leaders of both countries had rejected imperialist interference and worked on the basis of mutual trust, respect and the wishes of the people, because the people of both countries want peace, not war. It will also be seen what the mediation done by America was in the end. One is going to read Trump’s statement in this regard, which is representative of his banking, commercial thinking and is a tool of American interests. Read some parts of Trump’s statement “I am proud that America was able to help you reach this historic and courageous decision. Although it was not discussed, I am going to increase trade with these two great countries to a considerable extent”. Trader, Chaudhry, Credit are three words, which are representative of the Trump card.
If India is really becoming great, if India is really becoming a great economic power, then why does it not stand up against the big “policeman” of the world like “China”? Why is it blindly accepting its tariff conditions and other orders and “attending” to it?
Today, Trump has played a similar card by taking both countries under his wing, putting India’s “reputation for being great” at stake.
