The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has announced to take a decision soon after considering the petition filed regarding Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. In the meeting of the Interim Committee headed by Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana gave serious consideration to the three-page letter written by him to the Shiromani Committee President and expressed commitment to take a decision soon as per the seriousness of this national issue. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Advocate Dhami said that Bhai Rajoana has written a detailed letter to the Shiromani Committee, in which he has mentioned the discrimination being done against Sikhs by the governments. In this letter, Bhai Rajoana has also mentioned the withdrawal of the petition filed by the Shiromani Committee regarding him. He said that this is a national matter, regarding which the Shiromani Committee is trying to form a national opinion by holding meetings with representative organizations of the Sikh Panth, Nihang Singhs and Taksals. Two meetings have already been held in this regard and a meeting will be held with Sikh judges and lawyers in Chandigarh on May 17. After this, a representative Panthic gathering will be called and a decision will be taken according to Panthic sentiments. Giving information about other decisions taken during the meeting, Advocate Dhami said that it has been decided to provide assistance of Rs. 5 lakh each to the families of Sikhs killed in the attack in Poonch, Jammu recently. He said that this time is extremely painful for the victim families and the Shiromani Committee will provide them with all possible assistance. Giving information about another decision, Advocate Dhami said that the path of the Sahib from Langar Sri Guru Ramdas Ji to Baba Atal Rai Sahib will be beautified. Beautiful trees will be planted on both sides here, so that the Sangat can get a green and shady environment. This service will be done by Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwala. He said that in the meeting, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Mohan Singh, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Baba Inderjit Singh Rakbewale, Baba Bishan Singh Tarna Dal Baba Bakala, Shiromani Committee member S. Randhir Singh Cheema’s photographs have also been approved to be displayed in the Central Sikh Museum. At the beginning of the gathering, a condolence message was read regarding Singh Sahib Giani Mohan Singh, Baba Inderjit Singh Rakbewale, former member S. Major Singh Swadi, narrator Giani Pinderpal Singh’s father S. Hardial Singh and 4 Sikhs killed during the attack in Poonch (Kashmir) and tributes were paid by chanting the Mool Mantra and Gur Mantra.
