The fire, which started southwest of Los Angeles in Ventura County, quickly turned into a blaze, according to the agency. Till now more than 20000 acres area has been burnt. So far the fire could not be stopped from progressing and the fire brigade is working hard to control the fire. Agency officials have said that due to the spread of the fire, people from other areas have also been asked to go to safe places. According to Ventura County Fire Captain Trevor Johnson, the area affected by the fire has been divided into 12 zones, from which people have been asked to move to safer places. He said that efforts are being made to control the fire in the northeastern part near the city of Santa Paula. He said that more than 20000 acres of forest has been burnt and the fire has engulfed more than 6000 acres. He further said that it is still impossible to estimate the damage caused by the fire. Dustin Gardner, the head of the fire department, has said in a statement issued on Thursday morning that it has been 26 hours since the fire broke out and the fire has become very dangerous. He said that at least 800 employees from across the state are trying to control the fire and other workers are also being sent. The help of planes and helicopters is also being taken to extinguish the fire.
