The Shiromani Akali Dal Reform Movement has termed the working committee meeting called by the Shiromani Akali Dal regarding Sukhbir Badal’s resignation as a well-planned conspiracy and the proceedings of the meeting as a drama. Convener of the Reform Movement Gurpartap Singh Wadala said that when the Akal Takht Sahib had declared Sukhbir Badal a salaryman, Sukhbir Badal should have resigned as the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal at the same time. He said that politics should not be done on the issue of resignation. By doing so, they are directly challenging the Akal Takht Sahib. Jathedar Wadala said that a conspiracy is being hatched to save Sukhbir Badal. The Akali Dal is calling a meeting of district presidents and Shiromani Committee members. The meaning of this is that the dominance of the Badal family should be maintained and the Akal Takht and the Sikh Panth should be challenged. The Working Committee and other leaders should understand that today Punjab wants the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal. By hanging this matter, they want to prove that a person is bigger than the party and the Panthic traditions.
Panth responsibility of the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib’
Sikh Panth organizations should form small groups and write a petition to Akal Takht and submit it to the Jathedar continuously and inform the media that Akal Takht should take this decision soon. Giani Gurbachan Singh, Daljit Singh Cheema, Gurmukh Singh, Giani Iqbal Singh, Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra etc. should be summoned to Akal Takht Sahib in the case of Sukhbir Singh Badal who are accused in the Sauda Sadh case and the guilty should be punished by getting closer to this truth. A meeting of representatives of the Sikh Panth should be called immediately regarding this matter.
Because Sukhbir Singh Badal is not the only accused in this case. The Singh Sahibs should announce a Panth approved coordination committee and recreate the Akali Dal. Remember that the Akali Dal was established from Akal Takht Sahib.
