A woman constable posted at Dhilwan Police Station died after her Activa was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the highway at 11 am.
A woman constable posted at Dhilwan Police Station died after a horrific collision with an unidentified vehicle on the Jalandhar-Amritsar highway. On receiving information about the incident, the injured woman constable was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Kapurthala by 108 ambulance, where the doctor on duty declared her dead.
The deceased woman constable has been identified as Kulwinder Kaur (44), a resident of Jagatjit Nagar in Hamira village. She was originally from Patiala and had been living in her in-laws’ house in Jagatjit Nagar in Hamira since her marriage.
According to reports, woman constable Kulwinder Kaur was on her way to Dhilwan police station from Humira on her Activa around 11 am on Tuesday when an unidentified vehicle hit her in front of a palace near Dhilwan. The impact was so severe that she fell on the road and sustained serious injuries.
