“The views expressed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Sanjiv Khanna, during an important meeting of the Lokpal held recently, regarding the increasing corruption in every field in India, against injustice done to women and protecting the rights of the citizens of this country to express their views in accordance with the legislative lines, to move freely in any part of the country and to live their lives without any fear, are absolutely correct and welcome by all sections.”
These views are expressed by S. Simranjit Singh Mann, President Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), welcomed the views expressed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna recently to firmly protect the constitutional fundamental rights of Indian residents and to stop the increasing corruption and oppression and injustice against women in every field and expressed the hope that in the coming time these legislative lines, which have been trampled by the rulers for a long time, will be firmly restored. In this direction, he drew the attention of Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, to the oppressive law AFSPA and said that the above law has been misused by the rulers, police, paramilitary forces and the army for a long time. There is a dire need to stop the dangerous practice of any force, police, or any other person taking away the citizens of this state at any time, torturing them, breaking their limbs, raping them, and even physically killing them, for the safety of our citizens. Along with this, it is very important to implement Article 21 of the Constitution, which provides every citizen with the constitutional right to live and move freely without any fear. He also said that as the BJP-RSS government and its forces are increasingly violating these constitutional lines and committing injustices against the tribals and minority communities living in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court demands immediate attention to this serious matter in order to stop it immediately. He expressed the hope that Justice Sanjiv Khanna will focus his attention on the issue where the rulers have been trampling on the rights, entitlements and freedoms of the citizens of this country for a long time and will fulfill his responsibility of preventing such illegal practices.
