The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has condemned the Sarna brothers for damaging the Panth by bowing down to Sri Akal Takht Sahib in the midst of the serious crisis going on in the Panth. Addressing a press conference here, the Committee’s General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Executive President Harvinder Singh KP, Vice President Atma Singh Lubana and Chairman of Dharam Prachar Wing Jaspreet Singh Karamsar said that the Panth is currently facing a serious crisis because the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee has terminated the services of first Giani Harpreet Singh and now Giani Raghbir Singh and Giani Sultan Singh.
They said that the entire Panth Dardi including senior Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia are opposing this decision and are condemning this decision of the Shiromani Committee. He said that on the other hand, Akali Dal leaders from Delhi Paramjit Singh Sarna and his brother Harvinder Singh Sarna are bowing down to Sri Akal Takht Sahib as always and justifying the decision to remove the Jathedars. He said that this is not the first time that the Sarna brothers are playing such a role. He said that earlier also the Sarna brothers have created confusion in the community by bowing down to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and celebrating two Sangrands and two Gurpurabs. He said that this time also the Sarna brothers are supporting the decisions of the Badal Dal which have broken the hearts of the entire Sikh community. He also said that the Sarna brothers always supported the murderers of the 1984 Sikh massacre and also honored them publicly from time to time. Jaspreet Singh Karamsar also revealed that in a Gurdwara Sahib in Delhi, Darshan Singh, who was expelled from the Panth, was responsible for distorting the kirtan of Ragi and the Ardas performed by Davinder Singh, who was part of his group, because he was the one who brought him for the Delhi program. These leaders appealed to the entire Sikh community, especially the Sikhs of Delhi, not to speak against the Sarna brothers and to strongly oppose their activities against the community.
