A homeowner was shot and killed by a police officer who went to resolve a dispute in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to a press release issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. According to a press release issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, 43-year-old Brandon Durham called police to report that his home had been attacked. Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said that Durham and his 15-year-old daughter were inside the home when multiple people entered the home through the front and back doors. Alexander Bookman was the first police officer to enter the home. According to Koren, he saw Durham and a woman struggling to grab a knife. Bookman told the fighting couple to drop the knife. He then fired a shot that hit Durham. He died at the scene. According to Koren, the police officer fired a total of six shots. He later took the woman, Alexandra Boudriaux (31), into custody. The deputy sheriff added that the matter is being investigated thoroughly.
