The Chairman of the Sikh religious organization “Gurbani Research Foundation”, Sardar Paramjit Singh Virji, is taking a special initiative under the “Gurbani Kantha Chetna Lehar” to connect children with Gurbani, the fourth phase of which was completed with the distribution of prizes to the children at the Exposition Hall built in Delhi Haat, Janakpuri. In this last phase, the enthusiasm of the children and their parents was to be seen that their children, who had received tokens for the prizes they would get by reciting various verses of Gurbani, were to receive the prizes today. More than 477 children aged 4 to 18 years have participated in this Gurbani Kantha Chetna Lehar program, who have recited the verses set for different groups. Mentioning the prizes, Paramjit Singh Virji said that three special prizes are gold plated Japji Sahib gutka and five prizes are geared bicycles, second prize is seven iPads, third prize is ten mobile phones, besides 15 prizes are smart wrist watches along with 10 sports kits, 325 Bluetooth speakers. On this occasion, Delhi government cabinet minister Ashish Sood, former president of Delhi Gurdwara Committee Paramjit Singh Sarna, Delhi Committee member Jatinder Singh Sonu and former general secretary of the committee Gurmeet Singh Shanti were present and the lucky draw of prizes for the children was conducted. On this occasion, the organizers honored Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood, former president of Delhi Gurdwara Committee Paramjit Singh Sarna and Gurmeet Singh Shanti, Surjit Singh Duggal. Paramjit Singh Veer Ji said that in this program, girl Jashanpreet Kaur recited 30 verses, and a girl from a Sehajdhari family showed her love for Gurbani by reciting Japji Sahib Sukhmani Sahib Sashatranama and other endless verses. He said that three groups were formed for the children and different verses have been decided for the three groups. On this occasion, along with the chief organizer Bhai Paramjit Singh Veerji, Amarjit Singh Hira, Harjot Shah Singh, Jatinder Singh Sonu, Jaswinder Singh, Daljit Singh, Bawa Sahni, Harinder Singh Khalsa, Maninder Singh Ahluwalia, Harjit Singh and many other dignitaries were present who were helping in giving away the prizes to the children.
