A series of documentaries touching upon various issues of Punjab was released today at the Chandigarh Press Club. The free-to-air series will be available on Com TV, an OTT platform exclusively dedicated to screening documentaries.
Addressing the media, the producer of these documentaries and CEO of Qom TV, Dr. Rajeev Kumar said, “It is with great pride and a sense of deep purpose that we are announcing the launch of Qom TV, the first OTT platform dedicated exclusively to screening documentaries about Punjab. This platform is not just a medium of entertainment; it is also a movement to bring attention to important issues affecting our land and people.”
He said that Qom TV strives to shed light on topics that often remain unnoticed. Such as healthcare in deprived areas, challenges of education, drug abuse and the acute water crisis in Punjab. By addressing these issues, we aim to create awareness, inspire action and encourage dialogue among Punjabis across the world.
He added that the app is free, hence accessible to all, as we believe that awareness is a right, not a privilege. For those who are already part of the Chaupal platform, our documentaries will also be available as part of their membership.
“Today we are proudly releasing our first five documentaries, each of which has been crafted with passion and sensitivity to highlight the struggles and resilience of the people of Punjab. Going forward, new documentaries will be released every three weeks, ensuring a steady stream of impactful content.”
We invite you to join us on this journey of watching, sharing and supporting Qaum TV. Together, we can start a conversation and bring about change in Punjab,” he said. Let Qaum TV be the voice of our land and the stories it tells.
