Punjabi University, Dr. Dr. Balbir Singh Sahitya Kendra, Dehradun. A one-day seminar dedicated to the 50th birth anniversary of Balbir Singh Ji was organized on 2 October 2024, in which Sriman Sant Baba Jodh Singh Ji Nirmal Ashram, Rishikesh was the Chief Guest and the President of Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib was the special guest. : Narinderjit Singh Bindra joined. The seminar started with University Dhuni and Shabad singing by children of Nirmal Gyan Dan Academy, Rishikesh. Coordinator of the center Dr. Paramveer Singh welcomed the guests and scholars while giving the outline of the seminar. In this seminar Dr. Keynote speech delivered by Jasbir Singh Saber. He Dr. Throws light on Balbir Singh’s legacy, life and personality. In the seminar, Dr. Dharam Singh gave a special speech. Share information about Balbir Singh’s contribution to Sikh literature and its significance. The inaugural session was chaired by Dr. done by Balkar Singh, Patiala, who Dr. Expressed views on developing Balbir Singh Sahitya Center as a center of academic activities. At this time Dr. Paramjit Singh Mansa, s. Nirvair Singh ‘Arshi’, Dr. Mohabbat Singh, Dr. Rajwinder Singh, Dr. Dilbar Singh, Dr. Gurtej Singh, Dr. Harjit Singh, Prof. Dr. Prashotam Singh Kakkar and other scholars. Papers were read on the personality and contribution of Balbir Singh.
On this occasion, three books were presented to the public in which Dr. Balbir Singh’s collection of essays included ‘Bhujangi’s Movement and Other Essays’, ‘Bhagwan Balas Sukhnal Saar’ and ‘Advait Raj’ by Bawa Bhagwan Das (Sri Nabha Kamal Raja Sahib).
