India has been dropped from Forbes’ list of the world’s 10 most powerful countries. In this new list of 2025, the US tops the top 10. While Israel is at number 10. Forbes itself claims that it considers several parameters while releasing the rankings, however, according to Indian defense experts, there seems to be no justification for keeping India, which has the world’s largest population, fourth-largest military power and fifth-largest economy, out of the top 10.
According to the Forbes report, the list was prepared by US News and five main parameters were used for the ranking. The list is prepared on the basis of a country’s leader, economic influence, political influence, strong international alliances and strong army.
