The Takht Patna Sahib Management Committee had been demanding for a long time that the Gurmukhi Express should be stopped at Patna Sahib Railway Station, so that the Sangat coming from Punjab to visit Takht Patna Sahib can get facilities. The Ministry of Railways has now approved this demand. Takht Patna Sahib Management Committee President Mr. Jagjot Singh Sohi said that a few days ago, this matter was discussed during a meeting with Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu and top officials of the Railways at Delhi Rail Bhawan. Vice President Gurvinder Singh was also present in this meeting. Mr. Sohi said that he had informed the Railway Minister and officials about the difficulties faced by the Sangat coming from Punjab via Gurmukhi Express. As a result of this, he had assured immediate action and now from October 2, 2025, the Gurmukhi Express has been stopped at Patna Sahib Station. Mr. Jagjot Singh Sohi said that the Joint Managing Committee of Takht Patna Sahib and the Sangat thank the Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu for this work and hopes that the remaining problems will also be resolved soon, so that the Sangat coming from other states does not have to face any problems.
