Gurubani Research Foundation, with the special support of Gurdwara Management Committee, Ashok Nagar, Tilak Nagar and Jatha Akali Baba Phula Singh Ji Shaheed Reg. (Delhi), organized an Amrit Sanchar and Gurmat Samagam dedicated to the 202nd martyrdom anniversary of Akali Baba Phula Singh, the sixth head of the Nihang Singh organization Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal and known as the fearless Jathedar of Akal Takht. Amrit Sanchar was conducted on 22nd March at 12 noon in which hundreds of people became Guru Wale. Yesterday, after the recitation of Sodar in the evening, a Diwan was decorated in which the famous Panth Jathas Bhai Kavneet Singh and Bhai Binder Singh Ji of Sri Damdama Sahib Wale were present and connected the Sangat with the divine Bani. Kathavachak Giani Surinder Singh Ji Samrat Budha Dal told the Sangat about the life history of Akali Baba Phula Singh and Kavishri Jatha Bhai Sukhbir Singh entertained the Sangat by reciting the stories of Akali Baba Phula Singh along with Kavishri Vars. The stage secretary was performed by Bhai Paramjit Singh, head of Gurubani Research Foundation and former head of the Dharam Prachar Wing of Delhi Committee. He told the Sangat the history of Tis Hazari Court and Mori Gate built in Delhi and how they are golden pages of Sikh history.
The Panj Pyare Sahibans, Kirtani Jatha, Kavishri Jatha, Kathavachak Giani Shamsher Singh Ji, MLA Ashish Sood and all the gentlemen who cooperated in organizing the program were honored by presenting them with Sirpao and thanked them. Various efforts are being made by Bhai Paramjit Singh Virji to connect children with Guritihas and Gurbani. He said that in May, competitions are being organized in Delhi Haat under a Gurbani Kantha movement in which big prizes including mobile phones are to be given to a large number of people, for which great enthusiasm is being seen among the children and therefore the tests of Gurbani Kantha competition are to be held in different stages at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Ashok Nagar. On this occasion, Daljit Singh Sachar, Nirmal Singh, Amarjit Singh Brar, Amarjit Singh Sehgal, Amarjit Singh Hira, Surjit Singh Duggal and MLA Ashish Sood were also present.
