Reacting to the misleading propaganda being spread about the assumption of office of the newly appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh, Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee S. Pratap Singh said that in view of the current Panthic situation, the assumption of office of the Jathedar Sahib was held in a short manner to avoid any conflict. He said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee respects Sikh organizations and does not want any conflict to arise among Sikhs. He said that the assumption of office of Giani Kuldeep Singh, who was appointed as the Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib by the Interim Committee, was scheduled for March 10, but due to opposition from some Nihang Singh organizations and reports of deteriorating atmosphere from the administration, the event was held in a short manner. He said that Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh had reached Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib in the early hours of the morning, to whom the Chief Granthi of Takht Sahib offered prayers in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and was presented with a turban by the Panj Pyare Sahibs. After this, Singh Sahib reached Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to pay obeisance and joined the first Ardas at Amrit Vel. At this time, a large number of Sangat were also present at Takht Sahib. He said that it is absolutely wrong that the weapons were not in good condition when Jathedar Sahib went to Takht Sahib. When Jathedar Sahib went to pay obeisance at Takht Sahib, the historical weapons had been laid out after the Amrit Vel service and decorated. S. Pratap Singh said that Hola Mohalla is celebrated with national pomp and glory at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and the presence of the Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib is necessary in these events. In view of this, the Sewa Sambal Samagam was organized. He appealed to the Sangat to be wary of misleading propaganda.
