Instead of preaching the life-style blessed by Guru Granth Sahib, differences are increasing. Most of our intellectuals and preachers, who have this responsibility, are themselves straying from the path. Instead of preaching, many intellectuals are researching whether Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born in Kattak or Baisakh, whether he was with him or not, whether he went to Mecca and Medina or not. On the other hand, preachers are limiting their preaching to miraculous stories. No one is paying attention to resolving the growing conflicts.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji started a campaign against oppression, oppression and human inequality. This political, social and religious revolution was completed by Guru Ji’s tenth disciple, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who gave birth to the universality of the world. The tenth Sikh, by creating the Khalsa, removed human discrimination from the world and bestowed equality to everyone. They not only established social equality, but with the gift of nectar, they gave honor to the humble, strength to the weak and freedom to the oppressed, who prepared themselves for the fight for truth and right. When the workers took up arms, they overthrew the biggest tyrannical government of that time. People dressed in Singhs became the form of saints-soldiers, who lived the life of saints in their household life but took the form of soldiers when fighting against oppression and protecting the oppressed.
Sikhism is a new religion based on scientific thinking, free from rituals. It has been given such a test of living a successful and happy life, which can be followed by all living beings. In this religion, Shabad has been blessed with the Guruship. The Gurus perfected the Sikh code of conduct, the life of a Sikh and the principles of Sikhism over a long period of 239 years. Akal Takht Sahib is the highest place for Sikhs. No Sikh can dare to rebel against the Hukamnama issued from here. Religion and politics are not separated in Sikhism, because only religion can stop a person who has gone astray in politics. While the Sikh community has created history in facing dangers and giving martyrdoms, it has also created its own unique identity in humility, humility and service. The Sikhs have Gurus in the form of the eternal Guru Granth Sahib, where all kinds of doubts are removed and the true path can be seen.
But it is regrettable to say that ego is becoming dominant among the leaders of the Sikh religion, which has such a great heritage, and humility is disappearing. Leaders with true and pure character are disappearing. That is why the new generation is moving away from Sikhism. Distance from the Bani and the Bana is fatal for the Sikh character. The absence of a Shiromani organization to remove mutual differences and show the way to those who have gone astray is being felt. A Shiromani Council of Sikhs should be formed whose members should be true saints and soldiers and they should become the guardians of truth. This Council should settle mutual disputes so that mutual fighting does not become public knowledge. This Council should have a universally accepted commentary of Guru Granth Sahib. Again, this should be considered the basis of all discussions. In this way, Sikh history should be written and no one should be allowed to question it again. The code of conduct for the entire Sikh world should also be the same and this Council should become its guardian.
All religious and political Sikh leaders should consider forming such a Council, abandoning their personal interests. Not only should its glory be restored, but it should also become a guide for the entire world. Political influence has started to affect the decisions taken by the Singh Sahibs from the Akal Takht Sahib, because the appointment of the Jathedar Sahib is done by political leaders. Now there is no such power which can resolve the religious affairs of the Sikhs and whose decision is accepted by the entire Sikh world.
Therefore, now there is a need for a Shiromani Sikh Council, which works under the leadership of the Akal Takht Sahib. The Jathedar Sahib of the Akal Takht Sahib should be elected by this council and the Jathedar Sahib should be the head of the council. His election should be for a fixed period and no one should have the right to remove him during this period. At present, the Sikh community is becoming leaderless. Only the decisions made by the Shiromani Council can lead the community. The community is going through a very delicate and painful period, it has no universally recognized leadership regarding how to protect its rights, due to which the desired achievements are not being achieved even after making many sacrifices and martyrdoms.
This council should have representatives from not only India but also from all over the world. In the present time, Sikhs and Guru Ghars are all over the world. Therefore, foreign Sikhs should also be represented in this council.
Now Sikhs are in almost every country of the world. The first task of reaching a new place is the establishment of a Gurdwara Sahib. They look for a center for their religious, political and social complications. Till now, this was led by Akal Takht Sahib and Shomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, but with the scope of the Shiromani Committee being limited, its influence is decreasing and there is a doubt on the appointment of the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib. The party that protects the political interests of the Sikhs and the state, the Shiromani Akali Dal, has fallen victim to a split. Instead of focusing on thinking about protecting the rights of Sikhs and Punjab, mud is being thrown at each other. A century-old party that came into existence after making many sacrifices is struggling with the crisis of saving its existence. All the major Gurdwara Management Committees should form a global organization of their own, so that the Sikhs can not only have religious guidance, but also have their political protection.
According to the directions of this same council, Sikh children, especially poor children, should be givenArrangements should also be made to educate, make them skilled and prepare them for competitive exams. We help the needy and those in trouble all over the world, but no attention is being paid to helping our own needy. They are abandoning their religion under the influence of others. We should not forget that Guru Nanak Sahib himself had started a campaign to protect the rights of the poor, helpless, victims of religious and political oppression. Instead of the show-off that is becoming dominant in Sikhism, the needy should be held in hand, so that the life-style blessed by the Gurus can be propagated in the world. At this time, there is a need for a campaign for peace, equality and justice in the world, which can only be led by Guru Granth Sahib.
