The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has 2 years left. Now it will also have to be seen how much it will be able to contribute to the improvement of the state in every aspect during this time, along with maintaining the influence of its party. The party leadership will need to reshape its policies keeping in mind the experience of the last 3 years. While this victory will be even more encouraging for the BJP, the Congress will also need to think seriously again, because after 2 years it will have to enter the election fray once again in Punjab.
Although the results are not going to have an immediate impact on any state elections due to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections being held in early 2027, it is understood that with the party government now remaining in the only state in the country, Punjab will now become the center of AAP activities and power. Whereas earlier there was a party government in Delhi too, from where the party was working to expand its foothold in other states of the country. Till now, the party has been showing its achievements in Delhi for campaigning in other states and only the Delhi model has been presented. Now the party may have to present Punjab as a role model, for which it may feel the need to make a sharp correction in the government machinery and administration in the state. Some time ago, the party high command made changes in the organizational structure by making Cabinet Minister Aman Arora the president of the state unit to strengthen the party organization in the state. But the party MLAs are constantly criticizing the bureaucracy that it is not working actively. But will any important steps be taken in the coming days to make the bureaucracy sharp, like the announcement of holding district police officers responsible for the drug trade from incidents taking place in their areas. Will the AAP be able to stop drugs, unemployment and gangsters?
