The construction work of new inns for the stay of the Sangat arriving to pay obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is going on at a fast pace and under this, three inns will be completed and dedicated to the Sangat this year. This was revealed by the President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, after reviewing the ongoing work of the inns. The Shiromani Committee President said that in view of the large influx of Sangat at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the arrangements of the inns are being increased. He said that in the three new inns being prepared, Bhai Jaita Ji Niwas Baba Sahib Chowk, Baba Basant Singh Ji Niwas Paragdas Chowk and Bhagat Namdev Ji Niwas Kesari Bagh, work is continuously going on to complete 259 rooms and 30 halls for the Sangat by this year 2025. He said that the services of these inns are being provided by the great people of Kar Seva and the necessary equipment is being provided by Sri Darbar Sahib.
Advocate Dhami said that apart from this, the SGPC will soon complete a separate residential complex for the Singh Sahibs of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. He said that the luxurious residences being prepared for the Singh Sahibs will be provided with all the necessary facilities keeping in mind their dignity. This residential complex is being prepared at Atta Mandi Bahi, very close to the Sri Darbar Sahib complex. He said that with the completion of the Singh Sahibs’ residences, the rooms located at the Parkarma will be used for the Sikh Reference Library and Sikh History Research Board as well as the Sikh Archives Library to be prepared dedicated to the ninth Guru. On this occasion, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami was accompanied by OSD S. Satbir Singh, General Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Deputy Secretary S. Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Ex. S. Sukhjinder Singh, Additional Manager S. Yuvraj Singh, SDO S. Sukhbir Singh and others were present.
