The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has proven that it has not changed at all even after a hundred years of its inception by endorsing UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s slogan ‘Batenge to Katenge’. Its DNA is violence and hatred and it thinks in the same language. However, later it tries to clothe it with civilization, decency, peace and harmony. Yogi had earlier given the above slogan in the context of Bangladesh. There, after Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power, Hindu religious places were attacked and many Hindu settlements were vandalized. Yogi Adityanath’s full slogan is Batenge to Katenge, Ek Rahenge to Nek Rahenge, Surakshit Rahenge. Maharashtra, where assembly elections are due next month, is awash with posters with this slogan these days.
Interestingly, ‘Batenge to Katenge’ is written in bold letters, while the next words of the slogan require the help of a scribe. The office bearers of the Sangh usually claim to use polite language, but the way its General Secretary Dattatreya Hosbole has endorsed this slogan makes the intentions of the Sangh clear.
