The ‘War on Drugs’ campaign launched by the Punjab government will prove to be a decisive battle and the drug traffickers who are destroying the youth of Punjab are being wiped out day by day.
These words were expressed by Gill MLA Jiwan Singh Sangowal during the public meetings being held in various villages.
MLA Sangowal today mobilized the people against drugs in villages Chupki, Jassowal, Kila Raipur, Asi Kalan, Asi Khurd, Mehma Singh Wala, Jartoli. On this occasion, they collectively took a pledge that they will work as village guards against drugs, will not allow any kind of drugs to be sold in the village and drug traffickers will not be allowed to enter the villages. Apart from this, those who have also been affected by drugs will be counseled and if necessary, they will also be admitted to the drug de-addiction center. During the oath-taking ceremony, he urged the people not to grant bail to drug smugglers themselves and to prevent other people from giving bail to them.
MLA Jeevan Singh Sangowal stressed on the need for everyone to unite and work together to make the war against drugs launched by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann a success.
