The Budha Nallah, filled with toxic water from factories in Ludhiana area, should be immediately stopped from flowing into the river water. To stop this, the struggle being waged by Punjabi Maa Boli Satkar Sabha, Lakha Singh Sidhana and others is being fully supported by Dal Khalsa. Not only should the poisonous water flowing into canals, other water sources and underground water in the entire Punjab be stopped, but it should also be investigated how no objection certificates were issued and are being issued to factories which have not implemented projects to treat the polluted water or are not running them continuously. These words were expressed in a press statement issued by Dal Khalsa.
In a statement issued by Dal Khalsa leader Baba Hardeep Singh Mehraj, Central Working Committee member Bhai Gurwinder Singh Bathinda, Executive District President Jeevan Singh Gill Kalan, Bhai Bhagwan Singh Sandhu Khurd and Bhai Ram Singh Dhipali, it was said that the industrial centers set up in Punjab have poisoned the environment and water of Punjab to such an extent that apart from stomach diseases, different types of cancers have started devouring the people of Punjab. They said that now that Punjabis are becoming aware of this toxic phenomenon and are gathering to stop the water of Budha Nallah on December 3 as part of the struggle, we should all come together and join this struggle.
