Bhai Jathedar Resham Singh Babbar, Bhai Satnam Singh Babbar, Bhai Avtar Singh Babbar, Bhai Harjot Singh
, Bhai Bidhi Singh Babbar, Bhai Baljinder Singh Babbar and Bhai Rajinder Singh Babbar, etc., who are living in Germany, have taken serious note of the proposal by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to install the portrait of former Indian PM Manmohan Singh in the Sikh Museum and said that this will rub salt in the wounds of the Sikh community. The party from which Manmohan Singh became the Prime Minister attacked the Darbar Sahib with tanks and artillery before his eyes, demolished the Akal Takht Sahib, massacred Sikhs in India including Delhi and martyred thousands of innocent Sikhs in fake police encounters.
Did he ever raise the slogan of yes in favor of the Sikhs? Moreover, while he was in the post of Prime Minister, he did not even raise the issue of Sikhs in which there was no loss to any party including Congress and he could have kept it very easily in the capacity of Prime Minister. This issue was the issue of Sikh turban in France. The Sikhs of France had kept this issue with him with very optimistic hope during his visit to France as a Prime Minister but he did not do anything on it due to which the issue of Sikh turban is still hanging in France as it is. Manmohan Singh must have done a lot for India, so the Indian government can put his picture in its Parliament. The SGPC should tell the Panth what mark he has made for Sikhs. Tomorrow the issue of putting Giani Zail Singh’s picture will come up. Advocate Dhami desperately needs to look inside himself and see how many warriors have died for the nation in front of his eyes and the pictures of those warriors should be put in the museum. Was it not the duty of the Shiromani Committee to assign duties to its Shiromani Committee members and collect the details of the Sikhs who died in the Sikh struggle and present them to the Sikh community? You still have a chance to do something. The wrong information about the Sikh Gurus or Sikh history that has been published in books by the Shiromani Committee knowingly or unknowingly should be corrected by forming a committee with the advice of Sikh scholars, so that some of the stains on the Shiromani Committee can be cleaned. Whereas, there should be no attempt to put another stain on it by putting up the picture of Manmohan Singh. If the Shiromani Committee had fulfilled its duty on time, the direction of the Sikh community would have been different today. Neither would separate committees of Delhi, Haryana etc. have been formed. The Shiromani Committee had the status of the Sikh Parliament equal to the Indian Parliament. If you do not take care of it now, you will have to give an account in the court of that Akalpurkh.
