Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon have said that out of 12 thousand villages in Punjab, Christian preachers have reached 8 thousand villages and are working to connect the poor and weak Sikhs with Christianity by giving them various forms of greed and enticement. Addressing a press conference, Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon said that it is very unfortunate that the propagation of Christianity has reached such a large scale in Punjab but the representative organization of the nation, Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee, has failed to fulfill its responsibility of propagation and propagation of Sikhism. They said that not only in Punjab but also in Delhi, the committee has established its Sikh mission, while it has not sent a single Sikh preacher to any area of Delhi. They said that on the other hand, despite limited facilities in Punjab, the Delhi Gurdwara Committee has converted more than 2500 Sikhs to Sikhism through Amritsanchar in the past. He said that now we have decided and after holding a meeting, we have asked every member to intensify the campaign of propagation and dissemination of Sikhism in their respective areas and to organize camps of Amrit Sanchar so that maximum number of Sikhs will be served with a bowl of soup. Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon took a strong swipe at former presidents Paramjit Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh G.K. for staging a protest in the Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib complex yesterday and said that the Delhi Gurdwara Committee was formed as per the Act of Parliament of 1971. Since the elections were held as per the Act, no second or third slips have ever been drawn in the election of members of Singh Sabhas for the lottery system, but in the elections held in 2021, Paramjit Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh G.K. were in alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party government, due to which its Director of Gurdwara Elections, Narinder Singh, got five slips drawn. He said that when this illegal decision was challenged in the court by Manjit Singh and Kashmir, who became members in the first two slips, now the error made in the past has been corrected and their membership has been approved. He said that if Sarna and GK had any objection, they would have staged a protest in front of the Gurdwara Election Directorate or the Delhi Government Directorate, but they chose the Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib complex and ended their protest march by going in front of the statue of Master Tara Singh Ji, who made great efforts for the Panth. He said that the soul of Master Tara Singh must have been ashamed today due to their actions.
He said that the biggest thing is that from all over Delhi, these two leaders Sarna and GK got only 100 members for the protest, whereas if we had taken only two members from all the constituencies of the committee, then 100 members would have been there. He said that today Paramjit Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh GK themselves are disappointed and frustrated and have resorted to such actions.
