Let us not forget, good people, even in our prayers, the Sikhs and Sikh women who fought for the sake of religion 200 years ago are mentioned and we remember them every day. Our prayers are our history. Many governments have come and gone. Even the Akalis, who are called the real Dardis of Punjab, have been in power, but till date they have not been able to get the official report of the Ghallughara massacre of June 4. What a shame that the report has not reached us after so many years. Well, this report is needed so that we know how long ago this attack was prepared? What were the intelligence reports? How were the tanks brought before the Darbar Sahib?
What were the documents? What was discussed through letters? In whose favor were the meetings held? This was the time when the narrators say that a big board was put up outside the Darshani Deodhi of the Darbar Sahib, on which it was written ‘5enemy “erritory’ meaning enemy territory. All this is unforgettable. The sorrow was there even then and the sorrow is there even now. When the official award ceremony is held after the Ghallughara of June 84 and 9 officers receive awards in the Victory Parade awards. But the greater sorrow is that when this award is asked to be given to the President of the country, Giani Zail Singh. Giani Zail Singh refused to give the award because it had Blue Star Amritsar written on it. Then the same award was given by Giani Zail Singh by changing the reference. With what courage Giani gave this award again, that too as a Sikh, this is beyond understanding. Neither the recipients of the award were ashamed nor the award givers.
After June 84, many officers wrote books, The story was told but many acquitted themselves by blaming General Vaidya and Indira Gandhi. We are also guilty because we committed treason by hanging ourselves. The bottom line is how difficult it is for a nation to get out of such a bloody scene and stand on its feet again. Our third generation is suffering from this pain. It is very painful to bear this pain but the question arises whether we will get out of this pain ourselves or someone else will get us out? Will we think that we have also made a mistake. Will we ever be ashamed that our community has been scattered and our arrogance has grown. We have not strayed somewhere that we have been stuck there for so many years, we have not been able to find any solution. There is both anger and hatred for our mutual antagonism. The purpose of Sikhism is the good of all humanity. The purpose of Sikhism is a big vision. Have we ever thought why the Indian state is stuck with us. If the Indian state is our enemy So why should we hope? If not, then where is our mistake? Were all Sikh politicians honest at that time or did we fall victim to treachery. If Sikh politicians were honest, then how did the enemy succeed? Some such questions are arising many times over within our new generation. Wake up, you should know that there were a few people among you who bowed down to the entire Mughal Empire and now the helplessness is that we could not even gather facts. We are only counting the wounds, we are counting the mistakes of others. We have also made mistakes. The foundation of Sikhism stands on truth. Then why is it taking so long to reach the core of truth? Let us not carry this burden forward, think of a solution for it. Why is no agenda being thought of. At least, if nothing else, then a truthful record should be kept before the new generation so that they too can move forward.
