In the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, there has been a huge loss of life and property due to the cloudburst. We express our condolences to the families whose members have been separated from them and have suffered further losses due to this loss, and while we pray for the peace of the departed souls, we also express our deep sorrow while sharing in their grief.” These views were expressed by S. Simranjit Singh Mann, President, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), while expressing deep sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the cloudburst in the area of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, where there are Gurudwaras related to Sri Hemkunt Sahib of the Khalsa Panth, and while praying for the peace of the departed souls, we express our condolences to the affected families.
He said that whenever there is a loss of life or property due to such a natural disaster in any place in India or abroad, the Sikh community, under the thought of the welfare of all, never hesitates to help the affected families in every way in such a time of sorrow, but fulfilling its human qualities, it fulfills its duties by putting itself at risk in every field. Therefore, since this is the area of Gurdwara Shri Hemkunt Trust in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, I would like to appeal to the trustee members, administrators of Hemkunt Trust and the Sikh community, without the help of the Sikh community and according to my mission of the welfare of all, to help the affected families with a generous heart in this hour of sorrow so that the pro-human thinking of the Khalsa Panth can be propagated and spread at every level and the residents of all sections can get more information about our Sikh principles and thinking. He expressed the hope that the Sikh community will fulfill this responsibility.
