The Punjab government is committed to connecting the youth with sports by keeping them away from drugs and sincere efforts are being made to make Punjab a leading state in the field of sports.
These words were expressed by Madan Lal Bagga, MLA from Ludhiana North assembly constituency, while giving information through a press note. He said that yesterday, the first sports park was inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann at Salem Tabri under North constituency, where children are enjoying sports to the fullest. He said that children are registering in large numbers to play in the sports park.
MLA Bagga said that yesterday, about 6 matches were played by different children’s cricket teams, which ended at 10 pm and about 5 matches are to be played today. He said that after the registration of the teams, they are given a slot of one and a half hours and free sports kits are also being provided to the players.
MLA Madan Lal Bagga said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is striving to provide sports infrastructure to the players in the state, under which numerous playgrounds are being constructed.
