All India Riot Victims Relief Committee 1984 Chairman Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Gurdev Singh Gujral, Senior Vice President, Ravinder Singh Khurana, General Secretary said in a joint statement to the press that the accused in the 1984 Sikh massacre case have been convicted in the honorable court Jaswant Singh and it convicted Tarandeep Singh of murder and sentenced Sajjan Kumar to life imprisonment. They said that even before this, Sajjan Kumar has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the honorable High Court. They said that Sajjan Kumar had organized this massacre at the behest of the Congress during the 1984 Sikh massacre. Apart from this, during the 1984 Sikh genocide, at the behest of these people, gurdwaras were set on fire, people’s properties were damaged, the dignity of mothers and sisters was violated, children and elders were burnt alive and vehicles were also damaged. Jathedar Juldeep Singh Bhogal said that we had always been demanding that Sajjan Kumar, one of the main culprits of such a big massacre, be given at least the death penalty, but the honorable court has sentenced him to life imprisonment. He said that our fight will continue until he is hanged.
