There is news of a shooting near Tennessee State University in Nashville, USA, in which one person died and 9 others were injured. Investigators believe at least one of the injured was involved in the shooting. The Nashville Police Department said in a statement that the shooting happened along a street where Tennessee State University students were holding a homecoming parade. Metropolitan Nashville Police Department spokesman Dawn Aaron said there was no indication of gang involvement in the shooting and that the shooting occurred between factions while many people were standing by. According to the spokesperson, the slain person is 24 years old, who has not yet been identified. The injured include 3 children who have been taken to a local children’s hospital. Among them there are one 12-year-old and two 14-14-year-old girls. Their condition is stable and the injuries are not life-threatening, while the condition of the other victims, whose ages are between 23 years and 55 years, is critical. According to Nashville Police Commander Anthony McClain, investigators could not immediately determine if any university students were among the injured.
