Dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh Gurmat Prachar and Welfare Society Reg Punjab, with the support of Gurdwara Management Committee Gursharan Singh Kasel and local Sangat, a “Nine-day Turban Dumala Training Camp” was organized from June 7 to June 15 at Gurdwara Baba Ramu Ji, village Dayalpura, in which international turban coaches Harpreet Singh Patti, Harjit Singh Lahiri, Akashdeep Singh Patti, Wazir Singh Asal, Jagdish Singh Bhikhiwind, Sajan Preet Singh Margindpura, Harmandeep Singh Bhikhiwind provided training under the command of Coordinator Bhai Mandeep Singh Gholian Kalan. In this camp, a large number of boys and girls learned the tips of decorating turbans in different ways from the turban coaches. The daily food and drink arrangements for the children were made by Parvinder Singh Happy Seat Cover, Harpal Singh Vicky, Dr. Harpreet Singh Happy, Gurjant Singh RV Enterprises, Bhai Bhagwant Singh Granthi Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Burchand, Sukhwinder Singh Sabi Telecom, Satnam Singh General Store and Prabhjit Singh Co-operative Secretary Dayalpura and the prizes were served by Bhai Mehal Singh President Gurdwara Management Committee, Bhai Rasal Singh Cashier. These above words were expressed by the Convener of the Society Bhai Sandeep Singh Khalra German, Vice Convener Bhai Harjit Singh Australia, President Bhai Santokh Singh Patti, Vice President Bhai Hira Singh Sohal, Secretary Bhai Nirmal Singh Sur Singh, Vice Secretary Bhai Harcharan Singh Uboke, Zonal Incharge Bhikhiwind Bhai Gurjant Singh and Sikh Preacher Bhai Jagjit Singh Ahampur. He said that today, a children’s turban competition was organized in which a large number of children and sangat participated. The children were divided into four groups and the competition was held. The children who came in first, second and third place from each group were honored with seals, Sukhmani Sahib stickers, certificates and a comprehensive informational book of Guru Granth Sahib Ji written by Bhai Gursharan Singh. All the other children were encouraged by giving medals and religious literature. Every supporting personality and turban coaches were specially honored. Gurdwara Management Committee President Bhai Mehal Singh and Bhai Sukhdev Singh Bur Chand highly appreciated the work being done by the society and assured of providing all kinds of support. The entire sangat took a group photo and finally the camp was concluded amidst the echo of cheers. At the end of the program, all the sangat sat in the pangat and ate prasadam.
