MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina from Ludhiana South Assembly constituency launched a cleanliness drive in Ward No. 27 Sherpur and Ward No. 38 Ishar Nagar.
MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina said that a cleanliness drive will be launched in all the wards of the city in the coming days. She said that the focus will not only be on cleaning the roads and parks, but special attention will also be given to cleaning the sewer lines and roads and drains to ensure smooth functioning of public services during the summer season. Along with this, fogging will also be done to protect the local residents from vector-borne diseases. In this campaign being run under the leadership of the state government, several works including regular cleanliness activities, waste management programs will be done in the entire South constituency.
MLA Chhina said that people should avoid throwing garbage in open spaces or plots and should cooperate with the local authorities. He also encouraged the city residents to adopt this cleanliness initiative and said that for a clean and healthy Ludhiana city, we have to make this campaign a people’s movement.
