Jaswinder Singh Jolly, Chairman of the Minority Cell of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, has appealed to Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta that the Delhi government should increase the annual fee refund limit for minority students from Rs. 48 thousand. In a letter written to Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta, Sardar Jaswinder Singh Jolly said that at present, this fee refund limit for minority students is Rs. 48 thousand but many schools have increased the fees considerably for 2025-26. He said that due to the fee refund at the current rates, minority families are facing financial difficulties. He appealed that the current rate should be increased from Rs. 48 thousand to Rs. 60 thousand. He said that with the increase in this rate, it will be ensured that meritorious and capable students of the minority category are not deprived of education. He expressed the hope that the Revenue Department, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, will pay attention to this and increase this limit so that the minority category gets justice and their students can get good education.
