The annual grand Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the Gurta Gaddi Diwas of Yuba City, which is known worldwide, has witnessed a huge gathering of devotees. Although the US intelligence agency FVI had warned that someone from outside or inside could harm the devotees in the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan, despite this, a larger gathering of devotees was seen than last year. During this, more security was provided than last year and roads were already closed. On this occasion, horse-borne security, air security and local police sheriff and other intelligence agencies were also seen following this Nagar Kirtan.The arrangements for this Nagar Kirtan had been going on for about a month and after going through various stages, it ended today as a grand Nagar Kirtan. The 45th annual grand Nagar Kirtan of Sikh Temple Gurdwara Sahib Juba City, preceded by the series of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji, started on September 6 and ended with the Nagar Kirtan on November 3. For about a month, the Raagi Dhadi Jathas and preachers kept the Sangat connected with the divine Bani, during which Bhai Simran Preet Singh Sri Darbar Sahib, Bhai Balwinder Singh Lopoke Sri Darbar Sahib, Bhai Jaspreet Singh Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Katha Vachak as Bhai Amrik Singh Chandigarh Wale Dhadi as Saroop Singh Kadiana etc. participated in this great religious Kumbh.
Meanwhile, special kirtan ceremonies were held every day from around 6 pm on October 20 to 10 pm. Special children’s kirtan darbar was held on October 12 and 13, and special dhadi darbar and martyrdom day were celebrated on October 25. Rain Sabai kirtan was held on November 2, Saturday, in which all the raagi dhadis participated. On November 1, a large-scale fireworks display was held on Friday, on November 2, Amrit Sanchar was held, on November 2 itself, the seva of the Nishan Sahib’s chola was performed on November 3, and a Bhog and Kirtan darbar was held on November 3 and a grand nagar kirtan was taken out today. The specialty of this grand nagar kirtan is that people from all over the world participate in this nagar kirtan and people of different communities including black, Chinese, Filipino and Mexican origin also participate. On Saturday, various Sikh leaders and American elected leaders addressed the congregation in the decorated diwans, especially among the Sikh leaders Dr. Amarjit Singh Dr. Pritpal Singh Shiromani Akali Dal Maan leader Pawan Singh Khalsa, in addition to this, the President of the Management Committee Sardar Sarabjit Singh Thiara also gave his views. During this, various personalities were honored for their contribution in different fields and the Management Committee of the Guru Ghar honored the guests by giving plaques and presenting them with siropas. Let us tell you here that so far the congregation had to face great difficulties in reaching the Gurdwara Sahib because many roads were closed due to strict instructions by the FBI and the routes of many roads were changed, in addition to this, the congregation had to pass through various security and many restrictions at times.
