Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon have said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee has decided to remove the Jathedars from their posts today to save the presidency of Sukhbir Singh Badal and today will be remembered as a black day in history.
In a statement issued by the Delhi Committee, Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon said that it is very unfortunate that the five Singh Sahibs who gave the historic verdict from the walls of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2 have been removed from their posts one by one by the Shiromani Committee on the orders of their masters. First, Giani Harpreet Singh was removed as the Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and today the unfortunate decision to remove Giani Raghbir Singh as the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Giani Sultan Singh as the Jathedar of Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib has been taken by the Interim Committee of the Shiromani Committee. He said that all these are political decisions which the Sikh community is closely watching and the punishment for stabbing the Sikh community in the back will be given to the Badals by the community in the upcoming elections of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. He said that today will be remembered as a black day in history and the culprits will never be forgiven for this heinous crime. He said that today the entire Panth and Nihang organizations need to come on one platform and open a front against the Panth traitors.
