Sikh Federation UK strongly condemns the action of Virsa Singh Valtoha and Sikh Federation UK has said that they fully support the Jathedars of all Takhts and any such behavior should not be accepted in any way. These political leaders along with the Badal family have been looting the Sikh panth for the last 70 years. For a long time, the Jathedars and Singh Sahibs are being used by the political leaders for their political interests, which is completely wrong. These political leaders like Virsa Singh Valtoha have been restoring and dismissing Jathedars whenever they want in non-sectarian ways. The Sikh Federation has been opposing all these non-sectarian phenomena from time to time. The Jathedars and Singh Sahibs of Sikh thrones should be free from political pressure so that they can represent the Sikh principles and Miri Piri and take all decisions according to the Sikh principles to face the challenges faced by the Sikh Panth. When these political leaders Together with his Aka Badal family, he has launched a campaign of desecration of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, since then the Sikh community has not stopped them. Today, they are powerless, they are pretending to the Jathedars of the nation like Valtohe, while their master has been summoned from the Akal Takht Sahib.
We appeal to the Sikh Federation UK Jathedars also not to resign from their posts. The Sikh Federation UK welcomes the decision of Shiromani Committee President Harjinder Singh Ji Dhami not to accept the resignation of Giani Harpreet Singh. Along with this, the five Jathedar Sahibs have been asked to withdraw the membership of the Shiromani Akali Dal from Virsa Singh Valtoha and the party for the next 10 years. The Sikh Federation fully supports the action of expelling such elements from the Sikh Panth, apart from the action of banning them.
Virsa Singh Valtoha’s action towards Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh and Singh Sahib Giani Raghveer Singh and their families is totally intolerable. Jathedars of the Sikh community, from whom the common Sikhs have to seek help, are appealing today for the protection of their families. There should be no place in Shiromani Akali Dal for hooligan political leaders who put Jathedars in such a situation.
