US Congressman Thanedar has strongly supported India’s military action in Pakistan and said that India has the full right to defend its citizens and territory. Terming the action taken in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 innocent Indians were killed, Thanedar has said that India has the right to defend itself. He said that the terrorists targeted Hindus in Pahalgam and now India has taken action against the terrorists. Mr. Thanedar has requested the US to stand firmly with India on this important occasion. He has said that the US should support India in the fight against terrorism. His colleague Congressman Raja Krishnamurthy has also called for the need for international solidarity against terrorism and has asked for reducing tensions between the nuclear-armed neighboring countries. Krishnamurthy has also expressed concern over the internal political crisis in Pakistan and has said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan should be released and democratic rule of law should be restored in Pakistan. He warned that in the current situation, democracy in Pakistan has once again been threatened.
