A major update has come out in the Kotkapura firing case in Punjab. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued an order transferring the case from Punjab to Chandigarh. Now the trial of this case has been transferred from the trial court of Faridkot to the trial court of Chandigarh.
Today, the High Court, while accepting this petition, ordered that the trial of the Kotkapura firing case should be conducted in the trial court of Chandigarh itself. With this decision of the High Court, the way has now become easier for the hearing of both the related cases to be held at the same place, which is expected to speed up the proceedings.
