Mother’s Day holds great importance in the lives of all of us as it is a special day dedicated to our mothers who hold a very special place in our hearts. In India, this day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. While in other countries it is celebrated on different days of the year. Mother gives us life and imparts love and lessons throughout our lives. If we take a moment out of our busy lives to think that our mothers have a big hand behind whatever we have become today. “A mother’s love is a silent force that shapes the future” and Guru Nanak Public School Rajouri Garden celebrated Mother’s Day with enthusiasm yesterday by honouring that beautiful force. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, a special morning assembly was organized in which heartfelt presentations and expressions of gratitude were made dedicated to Mother’s Day. Students from different classes showcased their talents through beautifully composed poems and impressive speeches, each delivered with clarity, emotion and grace. Their performances were a true tribute not only to their mothers but also to their teachers and Mother Earth, acknowledging the nurturing role played by each in their lives. The atmosphere on the occasion was filled with admiration, respect and love, which left a lasting impression on everyone present. It was a celebration of care, strength and gratitude – qualities embodied by all those who nurture and guide us. On this occasion, the school principal, Manpreet Kaur, was present and thanked the teachers and children who participated in the programme, thanks to whom the programme concluded so beautifully.
