Sikhs are the only nation in the world that has given the status of Guru to Shabad. No other religious scripture has received as much recognition, respect and care as Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The Gurus have given priority to knowledge for the development, understanding and correct life of a person. In a statement issued to the media, Senior Vice President of Delhi Gurdwara Committee Bibi Ranjit Kaur said that in order to take care of our new generation, to keep them away from rituals and to connect them with Sikhism, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, in collaboration with its supporting organizations, is organizing “Gurmat Camp 2025” for children at various places during the summer vacations, which is a very commendable initiative.
Under this link, a Gurmat Camp was started at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Santgarh, with the support of the Dharam Prachar Wing of Delhi Gurdwara Committee. Keeping in mind the summer holidays and the martyrdom anniversary of the fifth Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, we should connect the precious moments of our lives with Guru Sahib because this is the main path of life of a human being. By connecting with Gurbani and Sikh principles, the mutual love of our families will increase, while our children will also be saved from bad symptoms like promiscuity and drugs, which will increase the love of children towards their families and society, our children and youth will be saved from bad symptoms. With this, while the propagation and spread of Sikhism will increase, our Panth will also start moving towards Chardi Kala again. Therefore, I hope that the children participating in the Gurmat camps being organized in Delhi and other states will be connected to Sikhism through Gurbani Kirtan as well as Gurmat Gyan and other Sikh principles.
