Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta distributed job appointment letters to the family members of the victims of the 1984 Sikh massacre at the headquarters of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Delhi Cabinet Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Delhi Gurdwara Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Vice President Sardar Atma Singh Lubana and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Rekha Gupta said that it is very unfortunate that during 40 years, many governments came to power at the Centre and in Delhi but none of them did anything to heal the wounds of the victims of the 1984 Sikh massacre. She said that in 2014, when Mr. Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) which re-investigated the closed cases on the behest of Congress leaders and sent the culprits to jail. He said that today 19 people have been given appointment letters and the remaining families will also get appointment letters soon. On this occasion, Delhi Cabinet Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that about 600 families have been identified who are victims of the 1984 Sikh massacre and whose family members will be given jobs by the Delhi government. Attacking former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sardar Sirsa said that he was in cahoots with Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and other culprits due to which he did not take a single step to help the victim families. Earlier, Delhi Gurdwara Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon welcomed Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa. They were also felicitated by the Delhi Gurdwara Committee team.
