Former New York Governor David Patterson and his stepson are reported to have been attacked. Giving information about the attack, Patterson’s spokesperson has said that the attack took place around 8.30 pm. The New York City Police Department said in a statement that when police officers arrived on Second Avenue near East 96th Street, they found a 70-year-old man and a 20-year-old man with injuries to their heads and faces. There were injuries.
In the statement, the police did not mention the names of the victims. Police have not said how they were injured but said they are looking for five suspects in connection with the incident. Earlier, Patterson’s spokesman, Sean Darcy, said that the attack on Patterson and his stepson was the result of a personal grudge. He said that after treatment in the hospital, both of them have been sent home.
