Recently, some rumours about Punjabi language being dropped from CBSE board exams have been doing the rounds on social media, especially Twitter. Bal Malkit Singh
Executive Chairman, Maharashtra State Punjabi Sahitya Akademi
The Maharashtra government said that we have directly checked the matter with CBSE and it has been officially confirmed that no change has been made in the subjects. Punjabi, like all other existing subjects, will remain present in the upcoming board exams. We appeal to students, parents and the entire community not to believe in false information and rely only on the official notices of CBSE. The board itself has made it clear that Punjabi language will remain an integral part of the curriculum. Therefore, it is important that this information is shared as much as possible so that the spread of misinformation can be stopped.
