The Dubai government closed a gurdwara indefinitely on April 3 amid the Iran-Israel war. The gurdwara’s chairman, Surinder Singh Kandhari, confirmed this. He said the closure was not due to any religious discrimination but for public safety.
Amid rising military tensions and security risks in the Gulf region, the Dubai government has issued a letter to close the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara in Jebel Ali until further notice. The Community Development Authority (CDA) has taken the decision due to security concerns arising from the ongoing war between Iran and the US-Israel conflict.
