The Himachal government has given big relief on entry tax. The entry tax of all vehicles has been reduced by Rs 30 to Rs 250. For a 5-seater vehicle, now instead of Rs 130, you will have to pay Rs 70, while the entry tax of 6-12 seater vehicles has been reduced from Rs 130 to Rs 100.
Let us tell you that the Tax and Excise Department in Himachal has reduced the tax levied on truck drivers in 3 categories by Rs 30 to Rs 250. All light vehicles registered in the state, whether commercial or personal, have been exempted from this tax. According to the newly issued notification, a 12-seater vehicle will now have to pay only Rs 100 tax instead of Rs 130 and 2-axle trucks with a gross weight of 12,000 kg to 25,000 kg have also been given relief. Their tax has been reduced from Rs 570 to Rs 320. The tax on 3-axle vehicles has been directly reduced from Rs 600 to Rs 570. This decision of the Himachal government has brought a big relief to tempo, truck and tipper drivers. The vehicle owners have been given a 24-hour ultimatum to notify them of the revised rates.
