A special discussion was held for the revival of “Sikh policy” on the invitation of former presidents of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Paramjit Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh GK. The Panth devotees participated in this meeting held at the invitation banquet in Kirti Nagar in large numbers. On this occasion, the Sangat raised their arms and took a pledge to fight against the Panth traitors to save the existence and basic ideology of the Panth. The speakers presented ideas on saving the Sikh philosophy from the storm of Bipar and on the establishment and awareness of the traditional ‘Sikh policy’. Prominent Sikh personalities, office bearers of Singh Sabhas and representatives of other Sikh organizations who came from different parts of Delhi, with folded hands, expressed concern over the neglect of Sikh issues by political parties in the Delhi Assembly elections.
The speakers united against the BJP’s occupation and interference in Sikh institutions including Gurdwara Hari Ki Pauri Haridwar Sahib, Gurdwara Guru Dangmar Sahib Sikkam, Gurdwara Sahib Jagannath Puri, Sri Hazur Sahib Board, Haryana and Delhi Committee and other places and decided to boycott BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden in the Delhi Assembly elections and appealed to all Sikhs not to vote for Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Paramjit Singh Sarna, mentioning the sudden increase in wealth of Sirsa in a few years, accused Sirsa of corruption and betrayal of the Sikh community. Whereas Manjit Singh GK interpreted the silence maintained by the Delhi Committee leaders along with Sirsa on national issues as flattering the governments for personal interests. Akali leader Kuldeep Singh Bhogal referred to the discriminatory policies of the central government on the issue of the Bandi Singhs. Along with this, many speakers including Delhi Committee members Jatinder Singh Sonu, Mahinder Singh, Akali leader Bibi Mandeep Kaur Bakshi, Jagjit Singh Muddar, Inderjit Singh Santgarh, Ravinder Singh Bittu presented their views. On this occasion, Shiromani Committee member Gurminder Singh Matharu, Delhi Committee member Paramjit Singh Rana, Kartar Singh Chawla, Tajinder Singh Gopa, former Delhi Committee member Satpal Singh, Mahinder Singh Bhullar, Harjinder Singh, Mangal Singh along with Ramandeep Singh Sonu, Sukhdev Singh Riyat, Jasmeet Singh Pitampura, Gurmeet Singh Philippines, H.P Singh etc. were present.
