A tourist Tempo Traveller collided with a parked dumper on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Friday night due to the driver dozing off. Five people, including a woman, died in the accident. 20 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the District Joint Hospital for treatment. The people in the Tempo Traveller were returning to Lucknow after getting his head shaved in Mathura. Sandeep, a resident of Mohiddinpur, Lucknow, had gone to Mathura on Friday in a hired Tempo Traveller along with his family and relatives to get his five-year-old son Siddharth’s head shaved. On Friday night around 10:30 pm, a tempo traveller met with an accident near kilometer number 49 on the expressway in Thana Nasirpur area. The cause of the accident is said to be drowsiness of the driver of the tourist tempo traveller. Due to this, the tempo traveller collided from behind with a dumper parked on the expressway. Five people including Sandeep and Bitana Devi, residents of Mohiddinpur, Lucknow, who were travelling in the tempo traveller, died in the accident. Till the time of writing the news, three of the deceased could not be identified. While 20 passengers were injured. The condition of seven of the injured remained critical. The police team that reached the spot admitted the injured to the District Joint Hospital.
