The five Takht Sahibs of the Sikh community are highly respected and accepted. There is no doubt that Hukamnamas and pro-national decisions are made for the Khalsa Panth only with the full consent of the Jathedars of the five Takht Sahibs. But according to Sikh and national tradition, these Hukamnamas have been issued for the entire Sikh community for centuries only by the Jathedar Sahib, the authority established from the walls of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The entire Sikh community and every person who takes the name of Guru Nanak bows his head before such Hukamnamas. But for some time now, BJP-RSS. SS and other communal organizations and groups have been taking painful actions to establish a government monopoly on the administration of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib and Takht Sri Patna Sahib and to interfere in the national decisions of the Khalsa Panth. It is even more sad and regrettable that the administrators and Jathedars of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib and Takht Sri Patna Sahib, who have distanced themselves from their Sikh center, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and are caught up in the trap of rulers and politicians, are seen to be pushing the Sikh community towards a fratricidal war by violating the unlimited power, great principles and customs of the Sikh community. Which is completely incompatible with the humanitarian thinking, principles and larger interests of the Sikh community.
Therefore, the administrators and Jathedars of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Takht Sri Patna Sahib should not indulge in any political trap of the anti-Khalsa Panth forces and take any action that would turn away from the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the spiritual and worldly center of our Khalsa Panth, and would cause any Sikh to disobey the orders issued there. Iqbal Singh Tiwana, Chief Spokesperson, Political and Media Advisor, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), said that people associated with BJP-RSS groups, in order to fulfill their vested interests, are starting such anti-Panth actions among the Sikhs themselves, pushing the Sikh community towards a fratricidal war and violating our principles and customs. We should understand this and fulfill our national responsibility of upholding the thoughts, customs and traditions of our Gurus at all costs, and not become a team of axe wielding branches to chop down the big tree of the Sikh community by the extremist groups that follow the ideology of ‘divide and rule’. While every Sikh should also keep this in mind that the Sikh community has never approved any unprincipled Hukamnami or decision issued at any time from Takht Sri Hazur Sahib or Patna Sahib under the patronage of the government, neither in the past history nor will it be approved in the future. S. Tiwana, while talking about the historical and great principle of Miri-Piri of Guru Sahib, said that this principle of Miri Piri is the highest and the spiritually meaningful right and right to be called the throne of Miri Piri belongs only to the wall of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The Sikh community approves only the decisions and Hukamnami made here. From here also in the future, unanimous decisions will be taken for the Khalsa Panth.
