Tarlochan Singh Former MP thanked Shri Naib Singh Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana and said that he organized a state level function in the memory of Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara at village Ishargarh in Kurukshetra district, which is the native village of Lakhi Shah Vanjara, who made a great sacrifice in 1675. It is noteworthy that the body of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was carried by Lakhi Shah Vanjara from Chandni Chowk, Delhi and taken to his village Rai Sinha where he set fire to his house for the last rites of Guru Sahib Ji. He said that the Chief Minister of Haryana has announced many development projects in the village and has also decided to install a life-size statue of him. He said that such courage was shown by Lakhi Shah Vanjara during the Mughal rule, which everyone worships after reading and listening to him. He said that your vision of locating his village and providing all the facilities there in his name and installing a statue to honour his memory is appreciated. He said that I know Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and you have already decided to build a grand memorial in honour of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur for which I once again thank you.
