Opposition leader Gurpartap Singh Wadala and his associates are saying that the current leadership of the Akali Dal is not implementing the decisions of December 2. According to this, the recruitment drive of the Akali Dal was to be carried out by a seven-member committee, but its first meeting has not even taken place, while the Akali Dal has started the party’s recruitment drive. Akali Dal leaders have been continuously saying that implementing the Jathedar’s decision could jeopardize the Akali Dal’s credibility. Along with this, the Akali Dal had made Jathedar Wadala the supervisor of Faridkot district recruitment. Jathedar Wadala had clearly refused and said that this action was a direct violation of the decisions of the Singh Sahibs of December 2.
Many senior Akali Dal leaders are angry over the non-implementation of the decisions of the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib. These leaders include Iqbal Singh Jhunda, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Santa Singh and many others. After the decisions of the Singh Sahibs of December 2, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committees have temporarily removed Giani Harpreet Singh and others from the services of the Jathedar in connection with the allegations, but their case has also not reached any conclusion.

Gyani Raghbir Singh Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib has almost completed the seven-member committee formed from the walls of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2 to strengthen the Akali Dal. Till now, the Sukhbir Badal faction of the Badal Dal had refused to accept this committee, citing the instructions of the Election Commission that it could result in the cancellation of the recognition of the Akali Dal.
Giani Raghbir Singh is now said to be on a visit to England. Before the visit, Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh had again issued orders to the Working Committee of the Akali Dal (Badal) that as per the orders issued from the walls of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2, a 7-member monitoring committee should be activated for the recruitment of new membership of the party. He said that this seven-member committee has to supervise the entire recruitment drive. In response to a question about the increase in the 7-member committee during the brief conversation, he said that the Akali Dal has to recruit membership from all over India, if the working committee feels the need, it can increase it. Regarding the investigation being conducted by the three-member committee into the allegations against Giani Harpreet Singh, he said that the honor and dignity of every position, including Giani Harpreet Singh, must be maintained. On Giani Harpreet Singh calling a member of the three-member committee ‘messenger of Badal’, he said that only Giani Harpreet Singh can tell who he is and in what context he said this. Regarding the video clips of the gathering of Singh Sahibs going viral on social media, he said that this should not happen, because every position has its own dignity.
But regarding the investigation of this matter, he said that there is no idea about it yet, we will see later. It is learnt that Giani Raghbir does not want Sukhbir Singh Badal’s leadership to be revoked and the Akali Dal to be put to shame. Because the rebel Akali faction has not yet been able to present its public base like the Badal Dal. While the Badal faction has succeeded in holding a big conference during the Maghi fair. This is the reason why the Jathedar is now instructing Sukhbir Singh to take the support of the seven-member committee formed by the Akal Takht so that the rebel faction also joins the Badal Dal. The Sukhbir Cheema faction of the Badal Dal now has a golden opportunity, they will make this committee a 15-20 member committee and also say that we have followed the order of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. If they do not accept the newly formed committee, the Sukhbir faction will accuse them that the rebels do not follow the order of the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib and if they do, their future is over because all the power will be in the hands of Sukhbir Badal.
