Today, on 05.07.2025, as per the directions of the Honorable Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, a tree planting campaign is being run across Punjab under the maximum tree planting campaign. All the judges of the District Courts of Ludhiana were planted one sapling each under this campaign and under the mission “One Judge, One Tree” by the District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana.
These saplings were planted in the residential areas of the judges. According to the information, a tree planting campaign is being run across Punjab so that we can keep our environment safe and as clean as possible. During this program, the following pledge was taken by all the judges while planting the trees –
“As the guardians of law and the guardians of justice, we pledge to uphold not only the rights of the people, but also the rights of nature and future generations. Today, by planting this tree, we raise the commitment to nurture justice in the soil. That is, green, fair and sustainable. Let this tree grow as a living symbol of our shared duty, unity and our promise to the earth”.
Apart from this, saplings were also planted in the court complex by the judges in sub-divisions Samrala, Khanna, Payal and Jagraon and people were motivated to plant more and more saplings.
