Ajit Pawar is certainly part of the coalition government with the BJP in Maharashtra, but he is doing politics according to his own rules. The big thing is that despite this, the BJP is playing him. Ajit Pawar had openly opposed the slogan of ‘Batoge to Katoge’ during the election campaign in Maharashtra and had even said that such a slogan may be popular in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, but it will not work in Maharashtra. Despite being with the BJP, he had rejected its communal politics. Not only this, Ajit Pawar has also fielded Muslim candidates and has also made one of his Muslim MLAs a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government of the state. The new development is that after the formation of the government, the MLAs of the three parties involved in the Maharashtra government were called to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on December 19. The winter session of the Vidhan Sabha was also going on in the capital Nagpur. All the MLAs of BJP and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena went to the RSS headquarters but Ajit Pawar refused.
It is being told that Ajit Pawar had instructed all his MLAs that there is no need to go to the RSS headquarters. It seems that although he is still with the BJP, he is also keeping alive the possibility of doing politics separately. That is why he is doing politics in the style of his uncle Sharad Pawar.
